How can I calculate the CO2-emmissions of my webpage?

My goal is to make my webpage (www.MyTree.TV) CO2-neutral! In order to reach this goal I intend to buy CO2-Certificates from www.newTree.org but the problem is that I don't know how to calculate the CO2-emissions of a webpage! The number of users is certainly important but if you consider just the electricity-consumption of a server it's not correct in my opinion. Does anyone know how to make a sound estimation?

Why are the risers on an escalator so much higher than on a standard staircase?

The riser (the vertical part) of a normal household stairway is rarely more than 9 inches high. The riser of an escalator is generally around 12 inches. You'll notice this any time you have to walk up an escalator which has been turned off.

Why are the risers so much taller?

Do raptors that use thermal soaring like urban areas?

Vultures are able to use thermal currents in the air to give themselves lift and therefore save energy when searching for food.

I have read that agglomerations of vultures occur on the fringes of settlements where animal carcasses are dumped.

But would it be possible for vultures to benefit from urban heat islands?  If so, what is the evidence?

Ways to Motivate Upper Secondary School Students about Climate Change?

I want to know what are some good ways to motivate Upper Secondary Students, from years 10 to 12, about helping reverse climate change.

I am the same age as the students I am trying to motivate, but some other perspectives would be good, because I want to try and get as many students involved as possible.

Why do large wind turbines have only three blades?

Intuitively I would have thought that at the 15 R.P.M or so of a large rotor ,most of the wind would whistle straight through the swept area without giving up the maximum power available. It would seem that more blades would give higher torque and thereby increase power output for a given rotor size.  Why are they made this way,as the old wild west wind pumps had many blades ,surely they would have experimented with this and found the configuration which worked best without the benefit? of computer models.
