Did the Egyptians really fly?

I watched this show on the History channel that suggested that the ancient Egyptians had the knowledge of flight (like the modern airplanes).

Why can't seawater be used to de-ice roads?

Seawater could be used to de-ice roads, it just needs to be collected, concentrated a bit by evaporation and there you go, simples!

They do this sort of thing in Seattle:

When a car travals from piont a to piont b you see it pass you. Why does the same not apply with light?

For example when  a  high speed train zooms past you you see it as a long line  so when light passes you why don't you see it as a long streak of light?
