With no light, it would be pretty dark, so I would imagine you could call it the begining of the new Dark Age?...

...so dark age it is, both figuratevely and literally. planes crashing, people getting stuck in elevators, hospitals unable to perform the simplest operations, the list goes on, really. In a blink of an eye your world will be transported into 1700s and it a few years it will look like it too. Depending on who you ask, it may not be a bad thing.
