What are these pink blobs?

Whilst visiting relatives in Singapore we had a look around the Chinese & Japanese Gardens in Jurong.  I was intrigued by these pink egg-like masses which were stuck on just about every rock, stick or reed which made contact with the water surface of one of the ponds.  I couldn’t find anyone to tell me what they were.

I suppose I can answer my own question.  I looked at the picture and noticed there was a snail just below the water surface.  A search for "pink snail eggs" soon revealed that these are the eggs of Pomacea canaliculata, the apple snail.  It is from South America, kept as a pet and is now an alien invader in South east Asia.

And judging from the number of eggs I saw, it's doing very well!
