You need to be a bit more explicit. Do you mean memories as in "Sunday was very warm and we ate at Grandma's house", or "this cell was exposed to chemical X"? Also, what do you have in mind with "regeneration"? Repair of DNA damage? Conversion to stem cells? These will all affect the type of processes that might be involved in answering your question.
