Reply	petethebloke says: I always assumed that they climbed higher and higher till the internal pressure exceeds the external pressure by so much that they burst and fall to the ground (as litter). Much better to inhale the helium and talk in a silly voice, but maybe that's a bad thing to teach 5 year olds.  (no votes) Tags: atmosphere.
