As some alternative energy supplies produce electricity all night, when less is needed, could this be stored Magnetically?

Hello Jon,

I think: no.

Compressing air and expanding afterwards again is not

a efficient method. One looses a lot of heat and there is

a big problem with the water in the compressed air.

Pump storage on hilltop on the other hand gives back

about 90 % of the power fed in.
