How many types of Dimensions are known to mankind?

Most people know about 3Ds. And some people have theories on 4Ds. So my question is, how many theories on new dimensions(if there is any) have been created? What are these new dimensions called? And have these theories ever been acknowledged by other people?

You can make up as many theories as you like and call the dimensions what you like; there even are infinite-dimensionsl theories. There is nothing stopping you. Have fun.

But unless you want to waste your time and that of anyone listening, first make sure what you are talking about. For example, if you are talking mathematics, all you need is to be consistent (or at least paraconsistent) but if you are talking physics, then you must at least have a falsifiable implication. Without that you are not talking physics after all, but famously, metaphysics at most.

There is no

- Theory counting office

- There is no Dimension-naming instution

- Nobody registers  the "acknowledgements".

Most scientists will mention that 3 or 4 dimensions we can experience, but according to string theory there could be 10 or 11 dimensions. However, it is unlikely that we will ever be able to prove this, as they may be too small to experience. Imagine a cute little bug on a tightrope. It can go around the tightrope, so that is a closed loop dimension. A for how many theories will arrise, we will have to wait and see.
