Googled info to be taken with a pinch of salt (kind of a pun as you'll see if you know a bit of chemistry):

Blood pH: The bloodstream is the most critically buffered system of the entire body, far more sensitive than any other. Arterial and venous blood must maintain a slightly alkaline pH:

Arterial blood pH = 7.41

Venous blood pH = 7.36

A person is considered to have acidosis when the pH of blood falls below 7.41 and to have alkalosis when the pH rises above 7.41

[I believe this info is slightly incorrect because acidosis refers to a low pH in tissue & acidemia refers to a low pH in the blood. Also the pH value where the line is drawn depends on where in the body system you are measuring]
