Why do we make brrrrrrrrrr noises when we feel cold, does it have any significance?

Reply	Jon-Richfield says: I think it has to do with expressing how we feel when we shiver from cold. The reason for shivering is to produce more warmth from the muscles that shake us. The brrr noises are mostly hot air. (no votes) Tags: cold.
