Why are human brains wired with the left side controlling the right side of the body etc?

Are all creatures wired like that? Are any humans wired with the left side connected to the left side of the body in a similar way that some people have hearts on the wrong side?

Why do the eyes of a whale seem so much closer in size to those of humans than other body proportions?

It's claimed by some that eyes are diffraction limited at the small end. Are there any upper limits on the size of animal eyes?

Giant squid aside, how do eyes scale with body size?

As a correction to this question, some argue that the (non-compound) eye might have originally evolved as a "camera obscura" with a pinhole lens; more complex lenses may have then followed. Is there any physical limit on a pinhole lens that might have (historically) limited the size of an eye?

Why has life only arisen once on earth?

Is there any evidence of life having arisen more than once on Earth? Why is all life related to a common ancestor, surely if it happened once it could happen more than once? Given that the Earth is the only place we know for certain that life exists is there any evidence for life having arisen independently more than once?

We sent this picture to a biological station and they couldnt tell us what it was. i have never seen this fish ever let alone where it was caught. Can anyone tell us what it is and how it would get there?

Does travelling at the speed of light stop you from aging as compared to being stationary?

Regardless of whether we travel at the speed of light or not, should our cells not biologically age and decay as per normal? Do we not have an internal biological clock that keeps ticking? Is Einstein proposing that our body will suffer less aging effects when travelling at the speed of light? Someone please help explain this....
