My goal is to make my webpage (www.MyTree.TV) CO2-neutral! In order to reach this goal I intend to buy CO2-Certificates from www.newTree.org but the problem is that I don't know how to calculate the CO2-emissions of a webpage! The number of users is certainly important but if you consider just the electricity-consumption of a server it's not correct in my opinion. Does anyone know how to make a sound estimation?
It is agreed that making Porland cement releases CO2, for heating but also due to the chemical reaction. Now I am informed that the concrete in my building is being damaged due to a slow but steady attack by CO2. So will the concrete ruins of our time be a CO2 absorber for the next generation?
The ocean's are great stores of CO2, especially at the high pressure seen at depths of over 1000m, or so I am informed. So are they fizzy down there, whats it like for a fish, do they basically live in a soda stream?
In last weeks questions a rep from coca cola said that there was 81/2 litres of CO2 in a 2 litre bottle of coke. given the amount of soft drinks with gas drunk each day, how much gas would be saved from the atmosphere if such drinks were banned?
