MP3 players often have FM radio but almost never AM. Is this for technological reasons,or just that they don't think we want it?

Radio synchronisation

I have a normal mains and an internet radio.  Whne I play Radio 4 on both sets the internet one has a delay of about 30 seconds - including the time signal broadcast on the hour!  I thought the time signals indicated the exact point when the hour occurs so why os there a delay and which radio is more accurate?

What is the sound produced by a radio set to AM when a flash camera, say, is charged beside it?

When I charged a flash camera beside a radio set to AM, I noticed a series of sounds produced, similar to that of the harmonics of a sliding square waveform with frequencies above 16000 Hz. How do they interfere and what part of the camera generates radio waves?
