This odd object was found in a meadow near a pond in Suffolk (Bradfield St. George near Bury St. Edmunds).
It is roughly 5cm round (or 2 inches), and weighs next to nothing- it's feather light. My scale wouldn't even measure it, and you can see through it. It feels and looks like a seamless bubble made of onion skin!
At one end is what looks like a dried stem?
There were no plants or animals nearby to indicate possible origin, and so far no one has been able to figure out what it is!
The suggestions I've had so far include:
A fish stomach, inflated when the sun warmed the gasses inside-
an empty sheeps testicle (?!)
a potato gone horribly, horribly wrong.
I'm at a complete loss!!! Please help.
