Reports that I've seen say that a very small amount of volcanic ash has landed in Northern parts of the UK. So what are the small white specks that have been landing on my black wheelie bin (and my neighbours black Porsche) since this episode started? I don't have a microscope, so I've been unable to study them in detail. I'm in Hampshire, not usually counted as "North UK".
