Is "Dark Matter" in another universe?

I recently heard it suggested that the weakness of gravity, compared to the other fundamental forces, might be explained if it “leaked” into other universes  that are adjacent to ours in a higher dimension.  If this were so, might the gravity from those universes not also leak into ours?

As I understand it, we infer the presence of “Dark Matter” from its gravitational influence, and suppose it to comprise the majority of matter in our universe, despite our inability to observe it directly. Might its invisibility be because it is not in our universe?

This explanation seems also to offer possible causes for other discrepancies between our expectations and our observations of gravitational effects such as that associated with Pioneer.

Whither Dark Matter?

A new paper in Nature suggests that the universe contains 3 times as many stars as previously thought. Does this mean we don't need dark matter any longer?

What is the speed of dark

Ok, we all know the speed of light (well actually I don't but I know I can google it) but the big question in my mind is the one no one seems to be asking. We are all focused on understanding the creation of the universe when in fact we ought to be asking ourselves what exactly our universe is existing in.

My current theory is that the universe is expanding into time and, using that logice, I must exists many times over, just with billions of years between each existence. Am I right about this???

Wht do we not apply Occam's Razor to dark matter and seek out a better theory?

It seems that we cannot see, smell, touch or find any evidence for the mysterious yet 'theoretically necessary' dark matter. In othere spheres of science we would be applying Occam's Razor and saying that the simplest explanation is that the theory is wrong. What stops this principle applying here?

Matter has mass, why shouldn't energy have mass?

Mass is a characteristic of matter and I remember being told, sneeringly, "The word is mass, boy, not matter" when being shown Einstein's E=MC².

I was also told that matter and energy were the same thing and that it was possible to destroy matter and release energy.  Fine, but I see no reason to assume that mass, a characteristic of matter, should vanish when matter is converted. To be sure, it would be a little tricky to measure, but if the energy released did have the same mass as the matter which was converted, it would explain a few anomalies, including 'dark matter'.
