Tommy taste

Tomatoes on sale here during the winter don't taste as good as those available in summer. Does their nutritional value change too?

Slender evidence

I have just read about a company producing lingerie that claims to aid slimming. It is apparently made from fabrics containing "Active Bio-Crystals that assist in the reduction of cellulite". Could this conceivably work? If so, how?

Question about lipolysis

Restricting carbs on the Atkins diet induces ketosis/lipolysis, and within just a couple of days of diligent dieting, you'll find lipolysis testing strips start to turn purple.  How can one tell that these ketone bodies being excreted in the urine are from burning body fat as opposed to the dietary fat consumed? (The diet books don't address this).

Is is true that I use up more energy when I'm cold? If so, can I get away with eating more in winter?

Chalk or cheese?

Cows are responsible for a large amount of global methane emissions. Would calcium carbonate be a more eco-friendly source of calcium, let alone edible?
