My friend was saying he gets very embarrassed when he goes red and he would like to know if there was a way of stopping this.

As a teenager I am (quite unfortunately) prone to blushing. So i'd like to know a bit more about the condtion that plagues me so regularly.

1- Why do we blush and why on earth did evolution put it there?!2- Why do teenagers blush more than adults and young children?3- Where does the redness come from and how does it go away so quickly?4- Why do blushes range from rosy pink to tomato red?5- And finally, is there anyway to stop yourself from blushing?

You don't have to answer all of them since I have asked quite a few.
