How much impact does waste heat have on global warming?

Almost every piece of machinery we run produces heat, either by design or as a waste product.

All of that heat getting pumped into the atmosphere must make a difference. Has anyone measured how much it is relative to greenhouse gases?

Is there a light coloured ash, which could play its part in mitigating climate change?

Is there a light coloured ash which could be used to cover fields after they have been sown in order to reflect sunlight for a period of time, fertilise the crop while also effecting large scale carbonation and a form of sequestrationat the same time?. If not could one be developed?.

How does the human body adapt to its environment?

People who spend a lot of time in hot environments (like chefs) become aclimatised and better able to shed heat (or produce less).  In the same way people can become aclimatised to cold environments.  People who do hard physical work develop larger muscles.  People who spend a lot of time swimming underwater gradually become able to hold their breath longer - a few can manage 5 minutes of swimming while I can't even manage 2 minutes of sitting down!

What is the mechanism by which the body changes its abilities in this way?  What triggers it and what directs it?  How does it happen at a cellular level?

Do raptors that use thermal soaring like urban areas?

Vultures are able to use thermal currents in the air to give themselves lift and therefore save energy when searching for food.

I have read that agglomerations of vultures occur on the fringes of settlements where animal carcasses are dumped.

But would it be possible for vultures to benefit from urban heat islands?  If so, what is the evidence?
