Can you light a fire with starlight?

Anyone with a magnifying glass or a shaving mirror can light a fire by focussing sunlight into a spot on a piece of paper and burn a hole.

Can the same trick be done with starlight? If so what diameter of mirror or lens will be needed? And which star would be the best choice?

Why do flames "lean" towards each other?

I was fiddling around with some candles before a dinner party, and noticed that when the flames are put close to each other they are attracted to each other, and lean in towards each other. Why is this?

At what speed would a cricket ball have to be hit to set on fire?

I work at Lord's Cricket Ground and a colleague was asked by a child 'Has anyone ever hit a ball so hard its caught fire'. Fantastic question, and although we said no, I thought it might be interesting to find out at what speed would a cricket have to hit to make this happen?

Thank you

Does a fire heat up a room hotter than it? or cool it down?

Imagine you heated a room to more than the temperature of a fire and then lit a fire in that room, would the fire heat up the room further or cool it down? I thought of this question when i noticed that you blow on hot food to cool it, and blowing on ice cream melts it.

How does fire react in zero gravity.

When I was lighting my candle last night I was thinking about if the flame on your candle would react in the same manor if it where lit and how it would burn in zero gavity for example on the international space station?
