In popular culture, ghosts are often represented as a snapshot of a moment in time, endlessly repeated. Mostly these snapshots relate to incidents from the past - eg. a headless horseman, Mary Queen of Scots and the like.
Setting aside disbelief/ scientific scepticism about ghosts generally, is there any theory that would explain why ghosts could not equally appear from the future?
Suppose I want to leave an artifact for future/alien civilizations to find. Putting "Built 2010" isn't much use without external references. Is there a method of telling a future archeologist the age of this object.
I ask this because it took thousands of years to develop the most simple tools, machines once lasted hundreds of years then decades, and now it seems like my phone is out of date every month.
will we have everything, or will it be things are out of date every day, or will the growth reach a peak and stop at some point?
