Mechanism behind "opening the floodgates" when drinking alcohol

I have yet to find a person not affected in this way while drinking, and I can't put my finger on why it happens.

Alcohol as many people know inhibits ADH (Anti-Diuretic Hormone) in the Pituitary and makes you need to urinate more. Okay, fine... But why can people last for a few hours (well, a substantial amount of time at least) before urinating for the first time while drinking alcohol. But after urinating for the first time, the urge to go again comes incredibly quickly, hence the common colloquialism: "opening the floodgates".

Can anyone help to explain?

What was the biggest factor in the brain development of our early human ancestors?

I recently read an article suggesting the main cause was the change of diet from eating grains and plants to meat, though previously I had read it was the change in social structure i.e.; grandmother, aunts and so on that allowed for free time from continual searching for food and caring for young that was the lagest factor. Which of these theories is most likely to be right?

Why are you not supposed to drink spirits if eating shellfish?

A friend of mine went to a restaurant, and on the menu next to the oysters, it recommended that you not drink spirits if eating oysters. Upon asking a waiter why, he said that they recommend not to take spirits with any type of shellfish, but he wasnt forthcoming with a definitive answer why?

Is there any merit to this?

How can air exhaled from your lungs come out both hot and cold?

When exhaling with your lips pursed ie. to cool a hot drink, the air comes out cold, but when exhaling with your mouth open ie. to warm your hands, the air comes out hot. How is it possible for the air to come out both hot and cold?

Why does the space between my ear and my skull smell like cheese?

Recently, I have had a bout of exma in the small space between the top of my ear and my head. Whenever I scratch behind there, my finger smells like very strong (and slightly off) cheese for about half an hour afterwards. Even after the exma has gone, the smell lingers. Is there any reason for that?

What is the purpose of male puberty? Why aren't men born ready to reproduce?

I realise that women need to be physically strong enough to bear children, so puberty is necessary to adapt their bodies to childbirth. But if the purpose of life is to reproduce, we would be able to do it more if men could reproduce from birth

Global warming and human beings

Probably is a blind shot, but I would like to ask if somebody has calculated the impact in global warming of the direct heat. I am thinking for example in the human population (almost 7 billion with a constant  average temperature of 36.5 º C). And not only that, but the average temperature of all the cattle in the world kept by humans, (billions of animals that otherwise wouldn´t exist). Also we could think in the heat from fires (both wildfires and the small ones) and the heat that escapes from our homes, vehicules or industries.
