Moving carpets

Why do rugs placed on carpets appear to move of their own volition? How can a bunch of inert fibres exert the force needed to move my rug 15 centimetres in just two weeks when there is a substantial armchair on it?

Why does the water in the toilet bowl move when it is windy outside? Is it to do with atmospheric pressure?

If everything in the universe stopped moving completely, would time have stopped?

Is time something more than just the way we explain that any movement occurred before or after another? nothing can happen at exactly the same moment so could time just be the order of everything? is it just a product of language that time cannot be explained, since the only way we can describe a progression of events is with vocabulary which is intrinsically linked to time? Would be great if someone has something real to say on this :D

movement in a bathtub

when you are in a bathtub filled with hot water and you stay still for a while the water seems to be cooling but as soon as you move it slightly you would feel the heat coming back? is it because your body absorbs the heat from the water in that specific area? (if the body can do such thing, that is!) or is it something else?
