I understand that black people are dark people they are near to the equator. but why do chinese people look so different to us? why do their eyes only look half open? i cant think of any other origin where people look like that?

why do for example german people look diff to english. english look diff to americans. what gave them people the characteristics that they have ( in brief why does what location you are in specify what you look like )
