The obvious answer is that they are afraid of loud noises etc. but I want to know if there is some other reason. For example, cats don't seem to be afraid. Have dogs evolved to fear thunderstorms for some reason? Or is some other phenomenon associated with thunderstorms, the change in air pressure for instance, affecting them?
