I don't know about you lot, but sometimes I yawn. Now we all know we yawn in times of tiredness, boredom and lack of sleep. But I want a few questions answered about these perculiar involuntary human actions. Firstly, why do we yawn? Taking into account the times we do it, I can only think it's the brains desperate attempt to inhale a large amount of oxygen to keep us awake? Let me know. Secondly, when I do yawn, I don't just yawn once, I yawn every 30 seconds, and sometimes belive it or not I can get annoyed with it, but that's another question for someone else. Finally, whenever I SEE the word 'yawn', I yawn. Whenever I HEAR the word 'yawn', I yawn, and more importantly, when I see or hear a yawn, I yawn. In fact, I think a good 20% of you reading this, will yawn. What is this contagiousness all about?
Thanks in advance.
Sam :)
